Academic Information
Benedictine
is accredited by the Ohio State Department of Education and the North Central
Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges, and the Ohio Catholic School
Accrediting Association. Each student carries a minimum of 6 credits in
each semester.
ACADEMIC
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
To
receive a Benedictine Diploma a student must successfully complete a minimum
23 credits (24 credits beginning with the class of 2003) which includes:

credits Social Studies (1.5 credits of World Hist. & 1.5 credits of
U.S. Hist./Government)

credits Mathematics (requiring the completion of Geometry & Algebra
2)
3
credits Science (requiring Biology & another Lab Science)
2
credits Classical or Foreign Language (two years of the same Language)
4
credits Theology (for each year of Attendance at BHS)

credit Health

credit Physical Education

credits Elective courses

credit Fine Arts
